Outline

• The washer fluid level warning system informs the driver that the washer fluid level in the washer tank is low.

Function

• The instrument cluster displays/turns on the low washer fluid level warning indication/low washer fluid level warning light based on the signal from the washer fluid-level sensor through the front body control module (FBCM).

• A warning message is indicated in the center display when the low washer fluid level warning light turns on. For the message content and verification method, refer to the [CENTER DISPLAY]. (See CENTER DISPLAY.)

Operation

Low washer fluid level warning light (without multi-information display)

1. When the washer fluid level in the washer tank decreases, the front body control module (FBCM) detects (1) a washer fluid-level sensor on signal.

2. The front body control module (FBCM) sends (2) the washer fluid-level sensor on signal to the instrument cluster via CAN communication.

3. The instrument cluster turns the transistor on (3) based on the washer fluid-level sensor on signal.

4. When the transistor turns on, a ground circuit with the low washer fluid level warning light is established, and the low washer fluid level warning light turns on (4).

Low washer fluid level warning indication (with multi-information display)

1. When the washer fluid level in the washer tank decreases, the front body control module (FBCM) detects (1) a washer fluid-level sensor on signal.

2. The front body control module (FBCM) sends (2) the washer fluid-level sensor on signal to the instrument cluster via CAN communication.

3. The instrument cluster displays (3) the low washer fluid level warning indication in the multi-information display based on the washer fluid-level sensor on signal.
