Purpose


i-ELOOP warning indication

•  The i-ELOOP warning indication notifies the user that an i-ELOOP-related part is malfunctioning. (With multi-information display)


i-ELOOP warning light (amber)

•  The i-ELOOP warning light (amber) notifies the user that an i-ELOOP-related part is malfunctioning. (Without multi-information display)
•  The i-ELOOP warning light (amber) notifies the user that the i-ELOOP operation condition is in pre-charge mode. (Without multi-information display)


i-ELOOP indication

•  The i-ELOOP indication notifies the user that the i-ELOOP operation condition is in pre-charge mode. (With multi-information display)


Function


i-ELOOP warning indication

•  The DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) sends an i-ELOOP warning indication request signal to the instrument cluster.
•  When the instrument cluster receives a i-ELOOP warning indication request signal sent from the DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) via CAN communication, it displays the i-ELOOP warning indication.


i-ELOOP warning light (amber)

•  The DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) sends an i-ELOOP warning light (amber) request signal to the instrument cluster.
•  When the instrument cluster receives a i-ELOOP warning light (amber) illumination request signal sent from the DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) via CAN communication, it turns the i-ELOOP warning light (amber) on.


i-ELOOP indication

•  The DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) sends an i-ELOOP indication request signal to the instrument cluster.
•  When the instrument cluster receives a i-ELOOP indication request signal sent from the DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) via CAN communication, it displays the i-ELOOP indication.


Construction

•  The i-ELOOP warning indication, i-ELOOP warning light (amber) or i-ELOOP indication is built into the instrument cluster.

Operation


i-ELOOP warning indication

•  When any one of the following conditions is met, the i-ELOOP warning indication displays.
―  PCM detects DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) malfunction
―  DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) detects malfunction in capacitor (i-ELOOP), DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP), or wiring harness
―  DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) detects any one of the following CAN communication errors
•  Unit communication error (HS-CAN)
•  Communication error with PCM
•  Communication error with FBCM
•  For vehicles with the center display, a warning message in the center display is displayed when the i-ELOOP warning indication displays. For the message content and verification method, refer to the [CENTER DISPLAY]. (See CENTER DISPLAY.)
•  The DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) sends an i-ELOOP warning indication on request to the instrument cluster via CAN communication.

i-ELOOP warning light (amber)

―  PCM detects DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) malfunction

When the capacitor (i-ELOOP) voltage is 9.5 V or more while in the pre-charge mode, the i-ELOOP warning light (amber) turns off.

•  If the capacitor (i-ELOOP) voltage is low (such as capacitor (i-ELOOP) replacement) when the DC-DC converter (i-ELOOP) is replaced, the i-ELOOP indication displays in the initial pre-charge mode (only once).
