Invalid data received from DSC/RSC HU/CM (wheel speed)

DETECTION CONDITION

•  If the wheel speed signal from the DSC/RSC HU/CM, which is transmitted using the CAN communication, is invalid and the condition has continued for 500 ms or more.

Diagnostic support note:

•  The MIL does not illuminate.

•  The AT warning light does not illuminate.

•  A PENDING CODE is not available.

•  FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.

•  The DTC is stored in the TCM memory.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

•  DSC/RSC HU/CM malfunction

•  TCM malfunction

DETECTION CONDITION	• If the wheel speed signal from the DSC/RSC HU/CM, which is transmitted using the CAN communication, is invalid and the condition has continued for 500 ms or more. Diagnostic procedure

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	VERIFY FREEZE FRAME DATA HAS BEEN RECORDED • Has the FREEZE FRAME DATA been recorded?	Yes	Go to the next step.
1		No	Record the FREEZE FRAME DATA on the repair order, then go to the next step.
2	VERIFY RELATED REPAIR INFORMATION AVAILABILITY • Verify related Service Information availability. • Is any related repair information available?	Yes	Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available repair information. • If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
2		No	Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY DTC HAVE BEEN PRESENTED • Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position, then to the ON position. • Read the DTC in the DSC/RSC HU/CM. • Are any DTCs stored?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [DSC/RSC].)
3		No	Go to the next step.
4	VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF DTC U0415 COMPLETED • Make sure to reconnect all the disconnected connectors. • Clear the DTC using the M-MDS. • Perform the following procedure to ensure that the DTC has been resolved: 1. Start the engine. 2. Drive the vehicle in D range for 500 ms or more. • Is the same DTC present?	Yes	Replace the TCM, then go to the next step. (See TCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AW6A-EL, AW6AX-EL].)
4		No	Go to the next step.
5	VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE • Perform the “After Repair Procedure”. (See AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE [AW6A-EL, AW6AX-EL].) • Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE [AW6A-EL, AW6AX-EL].)
5		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
