• The Bluetooth unit communicates information between the Bluetooth-enabled device and the vehicle’s audio/information display. The profile is used for communication between the Bluetooth unit and Bluetooth-enabled unit. The CAN system is used for communication between the Bluetooth unit and the vehicle’s audio/information display.
• The Bluetooth unit sends/receives information by using the common profile with the Bluetooth-enabled device. If they do not have the same profile, communication is impossible. In this case, the functions requiring the profile are disabled.
• The Bluetooth unit uses the following profiles:

• The Bluetooth unit is equipped with a voice recognition function that allows the user to operate the Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone using voice. It also has a learning function to improve the precision of voice recognition.
• The Bluetooth unit has a self-diagnostic function to facilitate malfunction diagnosis.
Voice Recognition Function
• The voice commands are pre-set for the Bluetooth unit. When the voice spoken into the vehicle’s microphone matches the voice command, the Bluetooth unit performs the mode set to the voice command.
Learning Voice Recognition Function

• Phrases for learning voice recognition are pre-set for the Bluetooth unit. The Bluetooth unit recognizes the features of the user’s voice comparing them with the pre-set phrase to improve the precision of the voice recognition.
Self-diagnostic Function
• The Bluetooth unit performs self-diagnosis to detect a malfunctioning part.
