Warning

•  If the vehicle is driven without ending maintenance mode, it could result in an accident. After performing the maintenance mode work, always end maintenance mode.

Caution

•  When performing the procedure while the vehicle is on the ground, block the front and rear wheels using wheel blocks. Otherwise, the vehicle may move when the electric parking brake is released.

•  If the front ABS wheel-speed sensor wiring harness is pulled by mistake when performing this procedure, it could cause an open circuit. Before servicing, disconnect the front ABS wheel-speed sensor and set it aside so that the wiring harness will not be pulled by mistake.

1.  Switch to the maintenance mode. (See MAINTENANCE MODE.)

2.  Remove the wheel and tire. (See WHEEL AND TIRE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Disconnect the rubber from the front shock absorber.

4.  Disconnect the front ABS wheel-speed sensor wiring harness on the steering knuckle and set it aside so that it does not interfere with the servicing.

5.  Remove the clip from the front shock absorber. (See FRONT BRAKE HOSE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

6.  Remove the front brake hose from the front shock absorber.

7.  Remove the front brake caliper component and suspend it in a place out of the way using a cable. (See FRONT BRAKE DISC REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

8.  Remove the front disc plate. (See FRONT BRAKE DISC REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

9.  Remove the front wheel hub bolt using the SST as shown in the figure.

10.  Pass the new front wheel hub bolt through the wheel hub.

11.  Install the front wheel hub bolt by placing an appropriate-sized washer on the wheel hub and tightening the wheel nut as shown in the figure.

12.  End the maintenance mode. (See MAINTENANCE MODE.)
