PARKING LOCK ACTUATOR INSPECTION [A71M]

1.  Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the front under cover No.2. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the front under cover No.1. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.1 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the wiring harness clips and bolts shown in the figure, then remove the bracket.

Note
•  Place the wiring harness out of the way where it will not interfere with work.

5.  Remove the bolts shown in the figure and remove the bracket.

6.  Connect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

7.  Verify that the voltages of each of the terminals are as indicated in the terminal voltage table (reference).

•  If the voltage is not as specified in the terminal voltage table (reference), inspect the parts under Inspection item(s) and related wiring harnesses.
―  If the system does not work normally even though the inspection items are normal, identify the malfunctioning location according to the directions in [DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM] and [SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING] then perform repairs.
