• Perform the DTC inspection for the body control module (BCM).

• Is a DTC displayed?

Yes

Repair the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

No
|
Go to the next step.

VERIFY HEAT PUMP CONTROL UNIT REPLACEMENT RECORD
• Verify if the heat pump control unit has been replaced before performing this troubleshooting procedure.
• Has the heat pump control unit been replaced?

Yes
|
Perform the procedure required for the heat pump control unit removal/installation according to the [HEAT PUMP CONTROL UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] again, and then perform the repair completion verification.

No
|
Go to the next step.

RESET CONFIGURATION DATA FOR BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM)
• Perform the body control module (BCM) configuration using the M-MDS.
(See CONFIGURATION.)
• Clear the DTC recorded in the memory.
(See CLEARING DTC.)
• Switch the main power ON (READY off or on) and wait 30 s or more.
• Perform the DTC inspection for the heat pump control unit.
(See DTC INSPECTION.)
• Is the same DTC displayed?

Yes
|
Perform the body control module (BCM) configuration again, and then perform the repair completion verification.
|
No
|
Go to repair completion verification 2.
|

Repair completion verification 1
|
VERIFY THAT VEHICLE IS REPAIRED
• Clear the DTC recorded in the memory.
(See CLEARING DTC.)
• Switch the main power ON (READY off or on) and wait 30 s or more.
• Perform the DTC inspection for the heat pump control unit.
(See DTC INSPECTION.)
• Is the same DTC displayed?

Yes
|
Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.
If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1.
• If the malfunction is not resolved, replace the heat pump control unit, then go to the next step.

No
|
Go to the next step.

• Perform the DTC inspection.

• Are other DTCs displayed?

Yes
