REFRIGERANT SYSTEM PERFORMANCE TEST

1.  Inspect the refrigerant pressure. (See REFRIGERANT PRESSURE CHECK.)

2.  Install a dry bulb thermometer in the center of the driver's air vent.

3.  Switch the main power ON (READY ON).

4.  Prepare the vehicle as follows.

―  The vehicle is not exposed to solar radiation

―  Vehicle stopped

―  A/C switch: ON

―  Air intake mode: REC

―  Airflow mode: Vent

―  Airflow temperature setting: MAX COLD

―  Blower air volume setting: Maximum

―  Hood: Open

―  All doors and liftgate: Closed

―  All door glass: Fully closed

―  Active air shutter: Open

5.  Switch the main power ON (READY ON) and wait for 8 s or more.

6.  Record the blower air temperature and the ambient temperature for 2 min.

7.  Verify that the blower air temperature is within the shaded area shown in the figure.
