AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR INSPECTION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER]

1.  Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION)

2.  Remove the ambient temperature sensor. (See AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER].)

3.  Measure the temperature around the ambient temperature sensor and measure the resistance between the ambient temperature sensor terminals A and B.

•  If the characteristics of the ambient temperature sensor are not as shown in the graph, replace the ambient temperature sensor. (See AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER].)
