TEMPERATURE SENSOR OF AIR FOR PTC INSPECTION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER]

Note

•  Inspect the temperature sensor of air for PTC when it is installed to the A/C unit

1.  Switch the main power ON (READY on).

2.  Set the fan speed to MAX HI.

3.  Set the temperature control to MAX COLD.

4.  Set to the RECIRCULATE mode.

5.  Turn the A/C switch off

6.  Close all doors and windows.

7.  Wait for 5 min.

8.  Switch the main power OFF.

9.  Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

10.  Disconnect the temperature sensor of air for PTC connector.

11.  Measure the temperature at the blower inlet.

12.  Measure the resistance between the temperature sensor of air for PTC terminals A and B.
