POSITION MEMORY SWITCH INSPECTION

Note

•  The position memory switch is integrated with the cluster switch No.2.

•  For the position memory switch removal/installation, refer to CLUSTER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION. (See CLUSTER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

1.  Switch the main power OFF.

2.  Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

3.  Remove the position memory switch. (See POSITION MEMORY SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.   Verify that the resistance and continuity between the position memory switch terminals is as indicated in the table.

•  If not as indicated in the table, replace the position memory switch. (See CLUSTER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
