WALK IN CONTROL CIRCUIT INSPECTION

Warning
•  Handling a side air bag improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag, which may seriously injure you. Read the service warnings/cautions in the Workshop Manual before handling the front seat (side air bag integrated).

1.  Remove the driver-side front seat installation bolts. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)

2.  Switch the main power OFF.

3.  Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

4.  Remove the head restraint.

5.  Remove the front seat under cover. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)

6.  Remove the driver-side front seat. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)

7.  Disconnect the walk in control circuit connector.

8.  Connect the lead-acid battery voltage to walk in control circuit connector terminal A, and the ground to terminal I.

9.  Inspect for continuity between walk in control circuit connector terminals G and I.

•  If there is no continuity, replace the front seat wiring harness (driver’s side).
