• The seat warmer system provides the occupant with a comfortable temperature by warming the seat cushion and seat back.
Function
The seat warmer control unit has an auto mode and a manual mode for switching the temperature levels.

Auto mode

• A suitable temperature according to the environment is set automatically in conjunction with the full-auto air conditioner system.

• The temperature level can be set by touching the seat warmer indicator.
Seat temperature increase and maintenance function

• The seat warmer unit warms the seat cushion and seat back by supplying power to the built-in filaments.
• The seat warmer control unit supplies power to the seat warmer unit and increases the temperature around the seat back and seat cushion up to the average temperature which is applied to the temperature level.
• The seat warmer control unit maintains a constant temperature around the seat warmer unit by intermittently supplying power to the seat warmer unit.
• The seat warmer control unit controls the seat temperature so that it maintains a constant temperature while monitoring the thermometer temperature on the seat cushion side.
Structural View
• The seat warmer icon is built into the climate control unit.
• The front seat warmer unit is adhered to the front seat cushion and front seat back.
• The front seat warmer control unit is located on the bottom of the driver-side front seat. (with power seat system)
• The front seat warmer control unit is located on the bottom of the passenger-side front seat. (without power seat system)

Operation conditions

• When all of the following conditions are met, the seat warmer system becomes operable.

Auto mode

• The auto mode operation can be set on the center display. For details, refer to [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM].

• If the front passenger’s seat belt is unfastened, the seat warmer on the front passenger's side is turned off.
• If the seat warmer icon is operated while in auto mode, only the operated seat changes to manual mode. To use auto mode again, press the auto switch.
• If the seat warmer icon is operated while in auto mode, only the operated seat changes to manual mode. To use auto mode again, press the auto switch.
Manual mode
1. When the seat warmer icon (driver’s side) is operated (1), the climate control unit sends (2) a seat warmer icon operation signal to the dash-electrical supply unit.
2. The dash-electrical supply unit receives the seat warmer icon operation signal and sends (3) a temperature level signal according to the seat warmer icon operation to the seat warmer control unit.
3. When the seat warmer control unit receives a temperature level signal, it supplies (4) power to the driver’s seat warmer unit and the seat warmer unit warms.

• If the seat warmer control unit detects that the temperature around the seat warmer unit exceeds the set value by the current output to the thermistor, the power supply is cut.
