REAR SPOILER REMOVAL

1.  Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the side spoiler. (See SIDE SPOILER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the liftgate upper trim. (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Disconnect the connector and remove the hook.

5.  Remove the tab of the grommet from the liftgate.

6.  Remove the caps.

7.  Remove the nuts.

8.  Insert the remover tool into the position shown in the figure.

9.  Move the remover tool in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the clips from the liftgate.

Caution

•  Remove the rear spoiler using two people. Otherwise, it may fall off and be damaged.

10.  Pull the rear spoiler in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the liftgate from the pins and clips of the rear spoiler.

11.  While pulling out the grommet, remove the rear spoiler.

•  When replacing the rear spoiler, remove the high-mount brake light. (See HIGH-MOUNT BRAKE LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
