With Emergency Call System

Note

•  The microphone is integrated with the emergency call speaker.

•  When inspecting the microphone, refer to [EMERGENCY CALL SPEAKER/MICROPHONE INSPECTION]. (See EMERGENCY CALL SPEAKER/MICROPHONE INSPECTION [(E)].)

Without Emergency Call System

Note

•  The integrity of the microphone cannot be determined from a single part. When inspecting the microphone, perform the following procedure.

1.  Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.

2.  Perform the DTC inspection for the connectivity master unit (CMU) and verify if any DTCs related to the microphone is detected. (See DTC INSPECTION.)

•  If DTCs are detected, repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
