Purpose
• The emergency call unit controls the emergency call system based on a collision detection signal from the sophisticated airbag sensor (SAS) control module or emergency call switch operation signal.
Functions
Power supply switching function

• If the power supply from the lead-acid battery is cut off, the emergency call unit switches the power supply circuit to the built-in battery.

• It is necessary to replace the built-in battery. For details, refer to the [EMERGENCY CALL UNIT BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in the workshop manual.
Emergency call operation status notification function

• The emergency call unit notifies the user of the emergency call operation status using a notification sound.
• The notification sound is activated in the pattern shown in the following figure.
