Note

•  The integrity of the approaching vehicle audible system (AVAS) device cannot be determined from a single part. When inspecting the approaching vehicle audible system (AVAS) device, perform the following procedure.

1.  Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.

2.  Perform the DTC inspection for the approaching vehicle audible system (AVAS) device and verify if any DTCs related to the approaching vehicle audible system (AVAS) device is detected. (See DTC INSPECTION.)

•  If DTCs are detected, repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [APPROACHING VEHICLE AUDIBLE SYSTEM DEVICE].)

•  If DTCs are not detected, repair the malfunctioning location according to the symptom troubleshooting. (See SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING [APPROACHING VEHICLE AUDIBLE SYSTEM].)
