System malfunction location	BECM internal system: A/D converter, watchdog timer, power supply malfunction
Detection condition	• The BECM detects any of the following conditions. ― A/D converter input terminal voltage value out of specification ― A/D conversion timeout ― Correlation error in measured voltage values at power supply monitors 1 and 2 of the high voltage battery temperature sensor ― Difference between the A/D conversion value of high voltage battery temperature sensor No.4 (main) and (sub) exceeding 63 LSB ― 3 consecutive reset failures of the watchdog timer ― Power supply measured voltage value (IGN, VDD1, DCDC, LV) out of specification ― VDD2-1 diagnosis signal value = 0 (LOW)
Fail-safe	• Refer to "DTC Table" and "Fail-safe Function Malfunction Contents Table". (See DTC TABLE [BECM (e-SKYACTIV)].)

2	PERFORM DTC INSPECTION AND VERIFY IF MALFUNCTIONING PART IS HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY • Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC.) • Perform the DTC inspection for the BECM. (See DTC INSPECTION.) • Is the same Pending DTC present?	Yes	Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error. (See CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN) MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [L.H.D. (E)].) (See CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN) MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [R.H.D.].) If the CAN communication is normal, replace the high voltage battery and perform the repair completion verification. (See HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
No	Go to the next step.
Repair completion verification	VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED • Perform the DTC inspection. (See DTC INSPECTION.) • Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
