• The BECM detects that the difference between the measured temperature at high voltage battery temperature sensor No.2 and the median value of the measured temperatures at high voltage battery temperature sensors No.2, No.5, No.8, and No.15 exceeds 19 °C {34 °F} for 0.45 s.

PERFORM DTC INSPECTION AND VERIFY IF MALFUNCTIONING PART IS HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY
• Clear the DTC recorded in the memory.

• Perform the DTC inspection for the BECM.

• Is the same Pending DTC present?

Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.
If the CAN communication is normal, replace the high voltage battery and perform the repair completion verification.
