Detection condition
|
• The BECM detects that the difference in the cell balance circuit temperature measured by the thermistors of ASICs No.2 and No.5 exceeds 20 °C {36 °F} for 1.9 s.
Precondition
• The balancing circuit temperatures at ASIC No.2 and No.5 are 20 °C {68 °F} or higher.

PERFORM DTC INSPECTION AND VERIFY IF MALFUNCTIONING PART IS HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY
• Clear the DTC recorded in the memory.

• Perform the DTC inspection for the BECM.
(See DTC INSPECTION.)
• Is the same Pending DTC present?

Yes

Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.
If the CAN communication is normal, replace the high voltage battery and perform the repair completion verification.
