Malfunction symptom	High voltage battery does not warm up
Description	•  It takes a long time to fully charge with charge. •  Frequency of poor acceleration or insufficient power is high.
Possible cause	Battery heater operation is poor: •  Battery heater malfunction •  Battery heater circuit malfunction ―  Poor connector contact ―  Open circuit in wiring harness ―  Blown fuse •  High voltage battery module temperature sensor malfunction High voltage battery malfunction: •  High voltage battery module temperature sensor malfunction Battery heater setting status: •  Battery heater operation setting is off (High voltage battery charge/discharge function decreased because battery heater operation during low temperatures does not operate.)

•  If necessary measures such as wearing the correct protective gear are not taken when inspecting or removing/installing the high voltage parts, it could cause electrical shock and result in serious injury or, in the worst case, death.

Step	Inspection	Results	Action
1	INSPECT BATTERY HEATER FOR MALFUNCTION •  Inspect the applicable part. (See BATTERY HEATER INSPECTION) •  Is the part normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Repair or replace the malfunctioning location. (See HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.) Return to the diagnostic procedure of other symptom troubleshooting.
2	VERIFY BATTERY HEATER OPERATION SETTING •  Refer to the ownerÅfs manual and verify the battery heater operation setting status. •  Is the battery heater operation setting turned on?	Yes	Return to the diagnostic procedure of other symptom troubleshooting.
		No	Advise the customer to turn on the battery heater operation setting because the charge/discharge performance lowers when the high voltage battery temperature is low. (Additionally, explain that the high voltage battery state of charge (SOC) decreases by the battery heater operation.)Return to the diagnostic procedure of other symptom troubleshooting.
