DTC P07E4:00 [PCM (SKYACTIV-G)]

System malfunction location	Parking lock actuator system: Parking lock does not operate
Detection condition	• The PCM receives a condition signal from the parking lock actuator for a specified time while the parking lock actuator is not in the locked position even though the PCM outputs a lock operation request signal to the parking lock actuator.
Fail-safe	• Stops the vehicle. (Switches to N position before stopping vehicle)
Possible cause	• Parking lock system malfunction ― Parking lock actuator malfunction ― Transaxle malfunction • PCM malfunction

1	RECORD VEHICLE STATUS WHEN DTC WAS DETECTED TO UTILIZE WITH REPEATABILITY VERIFICATION • Record the freeze frame data/snapshot data. Note • Recording can be facilitated using the screen capture function of the PC.	—	Go to the next step.
2	VERIFY PARKING LOCK ACTUATOR DTC • Perform the DTC inspection for the parking lock actuator. (See DTC INSPECTION.) • Are any DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [PARKING LOCK ACTUATOR].)
No	Go to the next step.
3	PERFORM DTC INSPECTION AND VERIFY IF MALFUNCTIONING PART IS PCM • Install/connect the part removed/disconnected during the troubleshooting procedure. • Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC.) • Replicate the vehicle conditions at the time the DTC was detected using the following procedure. ― Perform the KOEO or KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION.) • Perform the DTC inspection for the PCM. (See DTC INSPECTION.) • Is the same Pending DTC present?	Yes	Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error. (See CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN) MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW.) If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1. • If the malfunction recurs, replace the PCM, then go to the next step. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0].)
No	Go to the next step.
Repair completion verification	VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED • Perform the DTC inspection. (See DTC INSPECTION.) • Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
