MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE (MAP) SENSOR INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]

Function Inspection

1.  Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.

2.  Switch the ignition ON (engine off).

3.  Display the PCM PIDs [MAP_VOLT] and [MAP]. (See PID/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION.) (See PID/DATA MONITOR TABLE [PCM (SKYACTIV-G)].)

4.  Compare the voltage and manifold absolute pressure indications for the PIDs [MAP_VOLT] and [MAP] with the standard in the table indicated below.

•  If they do not match the standard, perform the voltage inspection. (See Voltage Inspection.)
•  If they match the standard, the MAP sensor is normal therefore the inspection is completed.

Voltage Inspection

1.  Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.

2.  Switch the ignition ON (engine off).

3.  Verify that the MAP sensor output voltage (PCM PID: MAP_VOLT) is within the specification. (See PID/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION.) (See PID/DATA MONITOR TABLE [PCM (SKYACTIV-G)].)

•  If not within the specification, replace the MAP sensor/IAT sensor No.2. (See MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE (MAP) SENSOR/INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE (IAT) SENSOR No.2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0].)
•  If they match the standard, replace the PCM. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0].)
