IMPLEMENT INITIAL LEARNING FOR PARKING LOCK ACTUATOR

•  Implement the initial learning for the parking lock actuator.
(See PARKING LOCK ACTUATOR INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE [ET6A-EL, ET6AX-EL].)

•  Perform the DTC inspection for the parking lock actuator.
(See DTC INSPECTION.)

•  Is the same Pending DTC present?

Yes

Refer to the CAN (controller area network) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error.

(See CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN) MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW.)

If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1 again.

•  If the malfunction is not resolved, replace the parking lock actuator, then go to the next step.

No

Go to the next step.

Repair completion verification

VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs ARE DISPLAYED

•  Perform the DTC inspection.

Yes

Repair the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

No
