KNOCK SENSOR (KS) INSPECTION [L8, LF]

1.  Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L8, LF].)

2.  Remove the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L8, LF].)

3.  Disconnect the KS connector.

4.  Measure resistance between KS terminals A and B.

•  If not within the specification, replace the KS. (See KNOCK SENSOR (KS) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L8, LF].)
KS Specification
Approx. 4.87 megohms [normal temperature]
