Active bonnet deployment conditions
Active bonnet deployment flow
1. If the vehicle hits a pedestrian at the front of the vehicle while the vehicle is being driven, the active bonnet sensors detect the collision. (See ACTIVE BONNET SENSOR CONSTRUCTION/OPERATION.)
2. The active bonnet control module determines whether to activate/not activate the active bonnet based on the following signals. (See ACTIVE BONNET CONTROL MODULE CONSTRUCTION/OPERATION.)

3. The active bonnet control module deploys the active bonnet actuators if an active bonnet deployment is determined.
4. When the active bonnet actuators are deployed, the actuator pistons are ejected and the bonnet is pushed upward. (See ACTIVE BONNET ACTUATOR CONSTRUCTION/OPERATION.)
5. When the bonnet is pushed upward by the active bonnet actuator pistons, the bonnet hinges operate and the rear side of the bonnet is lifted up.
