DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR INSPECTION

Door Lock Actuator


With double lock

1.  Position the door glass so that the distance between the top of the front door glass and top of the front beltline molding is 110 mm {4.33 in}.

2.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.(See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L8, LF].)

3.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Door trim (See DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(2)  Door speaker (See DOOR SPEAKER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(3)  Inner handle (See INNER HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(4)  Door module panel (See DOOR MODULE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(5)  Door glass (See DOOR GLASS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Apply battery positive voltage and connect the ground to each terminal, and then verify the operation.

•  If not as indicated in the table, replace the front door latch and lock actuator.

Without double lock

3.  Remove the following parts:

(2)  Door speaker (See DOOR SPEAKER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(3)  Inner handle (See INNER HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(4)  Door module panel (See DOOR MODULE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(5)  Door glass (See DOOR GLASS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Apply battery positive voltage and connect the ground to each terminal, and then verify the operation.

•  If not as indicated in the table, replace the front door latch and lock actuator.

3.  Remove the following parts:

(3)  Inner handle (See INNER HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(4)  Door module panel (See DOOR MODULE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(5)  Door glass (See DOOR GLASS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Verify that the continuity is as indicated in the table.

•  If not as indicated in the table, replace the front door latch and lock actuator.

(5)  Door glass (See DOOR GLASS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Verify that the continuity is as indicated in the table.
