TOP LOCK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Convertible Top

1.  Remove the fasteners.

2.  Pull the top lock cover in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it.

3.  Place alignment marks on the top lock and the top lock installation screws.

4.  Remove the screws.

5.  Remove the top lock.

6.  Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Top Lock Installation Note.)

Top Lock Installation Note

1.  Install the top lock with the alignment marks aligned.

2.  If the top lock is replaced, adjust the top lock installation position. (See CONVERTIBLE TOP ADJUSTMENT.)

Retractable Hardtop

1.  Using the retractable hardtop switch, keep the front roof half-open.

2.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

3.  Remove the front roof link cover. (See FRONT ROOF LINK COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the front headliner. (See FRONT HEADLINER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Place alignment marks on the top lock and the top lock installation screws.

6.  Disconnect the connectors.

7.  Remove the connector clip.

8.  Remove the screws.

9.  Remove the top lock.

10.  Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Top Lock Installation Note.)

Top Lock Installation Note

1.  Install the top lock with the alignment marks aligned.

2.  If the top lock is replaced, adjust the top lock installation position. (See RETRACTABLE HARDTOP ADJUSTMENT.)
