ULTRASONIC SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the trunk end trim. (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Partially peel back the trunk side trim. (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Rear combination light (See REAR COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Rear splash shield (See REAR SPLASH SHIELD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Rear bumper stay (See REAR BUMPER STAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Rear bumper retainer No.1 (See REAR BUMPER RETAINER No.1 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Rear bumper (See REAR BUMPER REMOVAL.) (See REAR BUMPER INSTALLATION.)

5.  Disconnect the connector.

6.  While pressing the ultrasonic sensor tabs in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure, move the ultrasonic sensor in the direction of arrow (2) and detach the ultrasonic sensor from the rear bumper.

7.  Remove the ultrasonic sensor.

8.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
