BEEP SOUND ADJUSTMENT

1.  Using the retractable hardtop switch, keep the front roof half-open. (retractable hardtop)

2.  Open the convertible top. (convertible top)

3.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Scuff plate (RH) (See SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(2)  Tire house trim (RH) (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(3)  Front seat back bar garnish (RH) (See SEAT BACK BAR GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(4)  Quarter trim (RH) (See QUARTER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Partially peel back the back trim. (See PARKING SENSOR CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

6.  Using a jumper wire, connect parking sensor control module connector terminals U and GND as shown in the figure to launch the beep sound adjustment mode.

Caution
•  If the terminals are mistakenly shorted, vehicle damage or fire could occur. When shorting terminals using the jumper wire, thoroughly verify what terminals are being connected to prevent a miss-connection.

7.  Verify that the parking sensor buzzer sounds one time.

Note
•  If the parking sensor buzzer does not sound, the procedure for activating the beep sound adjustment mode may have been performed incorrectly. Switch the ignition off and repeat the procedure from Step 3.

8.  Using a jumper wire, connect parking sensor control module connector terminals U and GND for approx. 0.5 s to switch the volume.

Note
•  The parking sensor buzzer sounds one time at the switched volume.
•  The initial value for the parking sensor buzzer volume is medium.

9.  Using a jumper wire, connect parking sensor control module connector terminal U and GND for 5 s or more to cancel the beep sound adjustment mode.
