NEUTRAL SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [F35M-R]

AutoAlliance Thailand (AAT) manufactured vehicles

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [ZJ, ZY].)

2. Drain the oil from the transaxle. (See TRANSAXLE OIL REPLACEMENT [F35M-R].)

3. Disconnect the neutral switch connector and remove the neutral switch.

4. Install the neutral switch (with a new gasket) to the transaxle case.

Tightening torque

20—29 N·m {2.1—2.9 kgf·m, 15—21 ft·lbf}

5. Connect the neutral switch connector.

6. Add the specified amount and type of oil. (See TRANSAXLE OIL REPLACEMENT [F35M-R].)

7. Connect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [ZJ, ZY].)

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [ZJ, ZY].)

2. Drain the oil from the transaxle. (See TRANSAXLE OIL REPLACEMENT [F35M-R].)

3. Remove the bolt A, B.

4. Loosen bolt C and slide engine mount No.1 as shown in the figure.

5. Remove the neutral switch.

6. Install the neutral switch (with a new gasket) to the transaxle case.

Tightening torque

20—29 N·m {2.1—2.9 kgf·m, 15—21 ft·lbf}

7. Tighten the bolt A, B.

Tightening torque

54—61 N·m {5.6—6.2 kgf·m, 40—44 ft·lbf}

8. Tighten the bolt C.

Tightening torque

Except AutoAlliance Thailand (AAT) manufactured vehicles: 43—55 N·m {4.4—5.6 kgf·m, 32—40 ft·lbf}

AutoAlliance Thailand (AAT) manufactured vehicles: 59—81 N·m {6.1—8.2 kgf·m, 44—59 ft·lbf}

9. Add the specified amount and type of oil. (See TRANSAXLE OIL REPLACEMENT [F35M-R].)

10. Connect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [ZJ, ZY].)
