1. Perform the differential backlash adjustment. (See DIFFERENTIAL BACKLASH ADJUSTMENT.)
2. Disassemble the differential in the order shown in the figure.

Ball Bearing Removal Note
1. Secure the differential in a vice.

2. Remove the ball bearing (clutch housing side) using the SST.

3. Remove the ball bearing (transaxle case side) using the SST.

Ring Gear Removal Note
1. Secure the differential in a vice as shown in the figure.

2. Remove the ring gear installation bolts.
3. Remove the differential from the vice.
4. Set the differential in a press as shown in the figure.

5. Remove the ring gear using the press.
Pin Removal Note
1. Remove the pin using the punch.
