WRENCH WARNING INDICATOR LIGHT ILLUMINATED OR FLUSHES

DESCRIPTION

•  Wrench warning indicator light illuminated or flushes.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

•  PCM DTC is stored.

•  Fuel filter water drain is necessary

•  Maintenance-period preset using maintenance monitor arrives (with center display)

•  Instrument cluster malfunction

•  Engine oil has deteriorated

•  The engine oil data reset was not performed after the engine oil replacement.

•  Retrieve PCM DTCs using the M-MDS.

•  Are any DTCs present?

Yes

Go to the applicable DTC inspection.

No

Wrench warning indicator light illumited:Wrench warning indicator light flushes:

•  Go to the next step. (with center display)

•  Go to Step 3. (without center display)

•  Perform the “FUEL FILTER WATER DRAINING”, then go to Step 4.

VERIFY THE MAINTENANCE PERIOD

•  Verify the maintenance monitor with the center display.
(See MAINTENANCE MONITOR OPERATION PROCEDURE.)

•  Are there any items in the maintenance period?

Yes

Perform the applicable maintenance and reset the maintenance monitor, then go to step 4.

No

Go to the next step.

INSPECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER

•  Inspect the instrument cluster.
(See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER INSPECTION.)

•  Is the instrument cluster normal?

Yes

Replace the engine oil, then go to the next step.

(The engine oil data reset was not performed after the previous engine oil replacement.)

No

Replace the instrument cluster, then go to the next step.

Verify the test results.

•  If normal, return to the diagnostic index to service any additional symptoms.
(See SYMPTOM DIAGNOSTIC INDEX [SKYACTIV-D 1.5].)

•  If a malfunction remains, inspect the related Service Information and perform the repair or diagnosis.

―  If the vehicle is repaired, troubleshooting is completed.

―  If the vehicle is not repaired or additional diagnostic information is not available, replace the PCM.
