• The idler is only installed to vehicles without A/C.

1. Measure the clearance around the entire circumference between the pressure plate and idler pulley using a feeler gauge.

2. Verify that the clearance is the specification.

• If the clearance is not within the specification, adjust the clearance by changing the type or number of the shim kit. (See IDLER DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY [SKYACTIV-G 1.3, SKYACTIV-G 1.5].)
