•  The ultrasonic sensor short-cord is integrated with the license plate light short-cord.
•  For the ultrasonic sensor short-cord removal/installation, refer to LICENSE PLATE LIGHT SHORT-CORD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION. (See LICENSE PLATE LIGHT SHORT-CORD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Rear combination light (See REAR COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(2)  Rear splash shield (See SPLASH SHIELD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(3)  Rear bumper (See REAR BUMPER REMOVAL.)(See REAR BUMPER INSTALLATION.)

3.  Peel off the tape securing the ultrasonic sensor short-cord from the rear bumper.

4.  Disconnect the connector from the ultrasonic sensor.

5.  Pull clip A and B in the direction of the arrow (2) shown in the figure while pressing the tab of clip A and B in the direction of the arrow (1) shown in the figure, and detach the tab of clip A and B and rear bumper.

6.  Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Ultrasonic sensor short-cord installation note.)


Ultrasonic sensor short-cord installation note

1.  Align the height of the ultrasonic sensor short-cord with the center of the tape adhering position marking on the rear bumper.

2.  Align the tape with the mark of the tape adhering position marking and adhere the ultrasonic sensor short-cord and rear bumper.
