DETECTION CONDITION

•  C1B00:2F

―  Signal error in steering angle sensor is detected

•  C1B00:61

―  Error in steering angle sensor calculation of steering angle

•  C1B00:62

―  Error in steering angle comparison by steering angle sensor

POSSIBLE CAUSE

•  Malfunction of internal steering column, steering angle sensor

•  Clear the DTC from the memory.

•  Verify if any DTCs are displayed.

•  Is the same DTC present?

Yes

Replace the steering column.

No

Go to the next step.

VERIFY THAT NO OTHER DTCs ARE PRESENT

•  Are any other DTCs output?
(See ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS) ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS.)

Yes

Go to the applicable DTC inspection.

(See ELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS) ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS.)

No

DTC troubleshooting completed.
