• C1B00:54

POSSIBLE CAUSE
|
• After disconnecting from the steering gear (pinion), in such cases where the steering column is removed/installed or the intermediate shaft is disconnected, the steering shaft installation is performed with the steering shaft rotated 360-degree by mistake.
• EPS control module malfunction.

VERIFY EPS WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATION CONDITION
• Turn the ignition switch off.
• Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and verify the EPS warning light illumination condition.
• Does the EPS warning light illuminate?

Yes

Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Verify that the EPS warning light is flashing or turned off, then go to Step 3.
|

VERIFY DTCs
• Clear the DTC from the memory.
• Verify if any DTCs are displayed.
• Is the same DTC present?
|
Yes
|
Replace the steering column.
|
No
|
Go to Step 5.
|

|
PERFORM EPS STEERING ANGLE CALIBRATION
• Perform EPS steering angle calibration using the M-MDS.
|
After the EPS steering angle calibration is completed, turn the ignition switch off, and then go to the next step.
|

|
VERIFY THAT SAME DTC IS NOT PRESENT
• Clear the DTC from the memory.
• Start the engine and turn the steering wheel fully lock-to-lock.
• Is the same DTC present?

Yes
|
Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
If the malfunction recurs, replace the steering column.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.
|

|
VERIFY THAT NO OTHER DTCs ARE PRESENT
• Are any other DTCs output?
|
Yes
|
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
|
No
|
DTC troubleshooting completed.
