Wheel And Tire Installation
1. When installing the wheels and tires, tighten the wheel nuts in a criss-cross pattern to the following tightening torque.
Connectors disconnection
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal before performing any work that requires handling of connectors. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [ZJ, ZY].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.4 DI Turbo].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6 (Y6)].)
Suspension Links Removal/Installation
1. For the joint sections with rubber bushings, raise the vehicle using a lift and temporarily tighten the installation nuts and bolts. Afterwards, tighten to the specified torque with the wheels on the ground.
EPS Related Parts
1. Make sure that there are no DTCs in the EPS memory after working on EPS related parts.If there are any DTCs in the memory, go to the applicable DTC diagnostic procedure. (SeeELECTRIC POWER STEERING (EPS) ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS.)
2. If the steering column (EPS control module) is replaced, perform the EPS control module configuration. (See EPS CONTROL MODULE CONFIGURATION.)
3. After completing the following work, if the EPS warning light illuminates or flashes when the steering wheel is turned lock-to-lock with the engine started, always carry out the EPS steering angle calibration. (See EPS STEERING ANGLE CALIBRATION.)
