Detection Condition

• Keyless beeper output voltage abnormal

Possible Causes

• Open or short circuit in wiring harness between keyless beeper and keyless control module

• Keyless beeper malfunction

• Keyless control module malfunction

INSPECT KEYLESS BEEPER CONNECTOR

•  Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.

•  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

•  Disconnect the keyless beeper.

•  Inspect the keyless beeper connector. (Corrosion, damage, and disconnected pins)

•  Are the connector and terminals normal?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Repair/replace the keyless beeper connector or terminal.

INSPECT KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE CONNECTOR

•  Disconnect the keyless control module connector.

•  Inspect the keyless control module connector. (Corrosion, damage, and disconnected pins)

•  Are the connector and terminals normal?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Repair/replace the keyless control module connector or terminal.

INSPECT WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN KEYLESS BEEPER AND KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE

•  Inspect the wiring harness between the keyless beeper connector terminal A and keyless control module connector terminal 3K for the following:

―  Short to body ground

―  Short to power supply

―  Open circuit

•  Is the wiring harness normal?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Repair or replace the wiring harness between the keyless beeper and the keyless control module.

INSPECT WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN KEYLESS BEEPER AND GROUND

•  Measure the continuity of the wiring harness between keyless beeper connector terminal B and ground.

•  Is there continuity?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Repair or replace the wiring harness between the keyless beeper and the ground.

INSPECT KEYLESS BEEPER

•  Inspect the keyless beeper.
(See KEYLESS BEEPER INSPECTION [ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM].)

•  Is the keyless beeper normal?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Replace the keyless beeper.

(See KEYLESS BEEPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM].)

Verify DTCs

•  Reconnect the disconnected connectors.

•  Connect the negative battery cable.

•  Clear DTCs using the M-MDS.
(See CLEARING DTC [ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM].)

•  Verify DTCs using the M-MDS.
(See DTC INSPECTION [ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM].)

•  Is DTC B10A5:12 displayed?

Yes

Replace the keyless control module.

No

DTC troubleshooting completed.

2		No	Repair/replace the keyless control module connector or terminal.
3	INSPECT WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN KEYLESS BEEPER AND KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE • Inspect the wiring harness between the keyless beeper connector terminal A and keyless control module connector terminal 3K for the following: ― Short to body ground ― Short to power supply ― Open circuit • Is the wiring harness normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
3		No	Repair or replace the wiring harness between the keyless beeper and the keyless control module.
4	INSPECT WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN KEYLESS BEEPER AND GROUND • Measure the continuity of the wiring harness between keyless beeper connector terminal B and ground. • Is there continuity?	Yes	Go to the next step.
4		No	Repair or replace the wiring harness between the keyless beeper and the ground.
5	INSPECT KEYLESS BEEPER • Inspect the keyless beeper. (See KEYLESS BEEPER INSPECTION [ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM].) • Is the keyless beeper normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
5		No	Replace the keyless beeper. (See KEYLESS BEEPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM].)
6	Verify DTCs • Reconnect the disconnected connectors. • Connect the negative battery cable. • Clear DTCs using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM].) • Verify DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM].) • Is DTC B10A5:12 displayed? 6		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
