Detection Condition

•  Liftgate opener switch input voltage abnormal

Possible Causes

•  Short to wiring harness between liftgate opener switch—keyless control module—BCM
•  Liftgate opener switch malfunction
•  Keyless control module malfunction
•  BCM malfunction

INSPECT LIFTGATE OPENER SWITCH CONNECTOR
•  Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
•  Disconnect the negative battery cable.
•  Disconnect the liftgate opener switch connector.
•  Inspect the liftgate opener switch connector. (Corrosion, damage, and disconnected pins)
•  Are the connector and terminals normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair/replace the liftgate opener switch connector or terminal.

INSPECT BCM CONNECTOR
•  Disconnect the BCM connector.
•  Inspect the BCM connector. (Corrosion, damage, and disconnected pins)
•  Are the connector and terminals normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair/replace the BCM connector or terminal.

INSPECT KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE CONNECTOR
•  Disconnect the keyless control module connector.
•  Inspect the keyless control module connector. (Corrosion, damage, and disconnected pins)
•  Are the connector and terminals normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair/replace the keyless control module connector or terminal.

INSPECT WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN LIFTGATE OPENER SWITCH—KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE—BCM
•  Inspect the wiring harness between liftgate opener switch connector terminal A and keyless control module connector terminal 3G, and liftgate opener switch connector terminal B and BCM connector terminal 7A for the following:
―  Short to body ground
―  Short to power supply
•  Is the wiring harness normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace the wiring harness between the liftgate opener switch—keyless control module—BCM, then go to the next step.

INSPECT LIFTGATE OPENER SWITCH
•  Inspect liftgate opener switch.
•  Is the liftgate opener switch normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the liftgate opener switch.

INSPECT THE BCM
•  Reconnect the disconnected connectors.
•  Connect the negative battery cable.
•  Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
•  Measure the voltage of the BCM 7A terminal.
•  Is the voltage normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the BCM.

VERIFY DTCs
•  Clear DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Verify DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Is DTC B113E:11 displayed?
Yes
Replace the keyless control module.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
