Diagnostic Procedure

Step	Inspection		Action
1	INSPECT LIFTGATE OPENER SWITCH CONNECTOR •  Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position. •  Disconnect the negative battery cable. •  Disconnect the liftgate opener switch connector. •  Inspect the liftgate opener switch connector. (Corrosion, damage, and disconnected pins) •  Are the connector and terminals normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Repair/replace the liftgate opener switch connector or terminal.
2	INSPECT BCM CONNECTOR •  Disconnect the BCM connector. •  Inspect the BCM connector. (Corrosion, damage, and disconnected pins) •  Are the connector and terminals normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Repair/replace the BCM connector or terminal.
3	INSPECT KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE CONNECTOR •  Disconnect the keyless control module connector. •  Inspect the keyless control module connector. (Corrosion, damage, and disconnected pins) •  Are the connector and terminals normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Repair/replace the keyless control module connector or terminal.
4	INSPECT WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN LIFTGATE OPENER SWITCH—KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE—BCM •  Inspect the wiring harness between liftgate opener switch connector terminal A and keyless control module connector terminal 3G, and liftgate opener switch connector terminal B and BCM connector terminal 7A for the following: ―  Short to body ground ―  Short to power supply •  Is the wiring harness normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Repair or replace the wiring harness between the liftgate opener switch—keyless control module—BCM, then go to the next step.
5	INSPECT LIFTGATE OPENER SWITCH •  Inspect liftgate opener switch. (See LIFTGATE OPENER SWITCH INSPECTION.) •  Is the liftgate opener switch normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Replace the liftgate opener switch. (See LIFTGATE OPENER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
6	INSPECT THE BCM •  Reconnect the disconnected connectors. •  Connect the negative battery cable. •  Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. •  Measure the voltage of the BCM 7A terminal. (See BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) INSPECTION.) •  Is the voltage normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Replace the BCM. (See BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
7	VERIFY DTCs •  Clear DTCs using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM].) •  Verify DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM].) •  Is DTC B113E:11 displayed?	Yes	Replace the keyless control module. (See KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM].)
		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
