Detection Condition

•  Keyless receiver cannot communicate

Possible Causes

•  Open or short circuit in wiring harness between keyless receiver and keyless control module
•  Keyless receiver malfunction
•  Keyless control module malfunction

INSPECT KEYLESS RECEVER CONNECTOR
•  Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
•  Disconnect the negative battery cable.
•  Disconnect the keyless receiver connector.
•  Inspect the keyless receiver connector. (Corrosion, damage, and disconnected pins)
•  Are the connector and terminals normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair/replace the keyless receiver connector or terminal.

INSPECT KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE CONNECTOR
•  Disconnect the keyless control module connector.
•  Inspect the keyless control module connector. (Corrosion, damage, and disconnected pins)
•  Are the connector and terminals normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair/replace the keyless control module connector or terminal.

INSPECT KEYLESS RECEIVER SIGNAL OUTPUT CIRCUIT CONTINUITY
•  Inspect for continuity between keyless receiver connector terminal C and keyless control module connector terminal 2H.
•  Is there continuity?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace the keyless receiver wiring harness.

INSPECT KEYLESS RECEIVER
•  Reconnect the disconnected connectors.
•  Connect the negative battery cable.
•  Inspect the voltage of keyless receiver terminal B, and D.
•  Is the voltage normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the keyless receiver.

VERIFY DTCs
•  Clear DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Verify DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Is DTC U201F:00 displayed?
Yes
Replace the keyless control module.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
