Transaxle component slipping

DETECTION CONDITION
•  The PCM detects that turbine revolution is more than 187 rpm when the following conditions are met.
―  Vehicle stopped (brake pedal is depressed)
―  Accelerator pedal is fully released
―  Engine running at idle
―  Selector lever position moved to D range from N position
Diagnostic support note:
•  This is a continuous monitor (CCM).
•  The MIL does not illuminate.
•  The HOLD indicator light flashes if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle.
•  PENDING CODE is not available.
•  FREEZE FRAME DATA is not available.
•  The DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  Forward clutch not engaged or slipped
•  Shift solenoid A stuck
•  PCM malfunction

VERIFY FREEZE FRAME DATA HAS BEEN RECORDED
•  Has the FREEZE FRAME DATA been recorded?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Record the FREEZE FRAME DATA on the repair order, then go to the next step.

VERIFY RELATED REPAIR INFORMATION AVAILABILITY
•  Verify related Service Information availability.
•  Is any related repair information available?
Yes
Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available repair information.
•  If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY OTHER DTC
•  Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position, then to the ON position.
•  Verify other DTC in the PCM memory.
•  Are DTCs P0720:00, P0752:00, and P0753:00 output?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
Replace the forward clutch, then go to the next step.

VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING OF DTC P0894:00 COMPLETED
•  Make sure to reconnect all the disconnected connectors.
•  Clear the DTC from the memory using the M-MDS.
•  Perform the following procedure to ensure that the DTC has been resolved:
―  Stop the vehicle with the brake pedal depressed.
―  Idle the engine with the accelerator pedal is fully released.
―  Shift the selector lever from N position to D range.
•  Is the same DTC present?
Yes
Replace the PCM, then go to the next step.
No
No concern is detected. Go to the next step.

VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE
•  Perform the “After Repair Procedure”.
•  Are any DTCs present?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
