Replacement part

Oil and chemical type

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [(E)].)

2.  Remove the supercharger. (See SUPERCHARGER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)

3.  Remove the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor No.3. (See ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE (ECT) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0])

4.  Remove the intake manifold component. (See INTAKE MANIFOLD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-X 2.0].)

5.  Remove the water-cooled charge air cooler.

6.  Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Water-Cooled Charge Air Cooler Installation Note.)

Water-Cooled Charge Air Cooler Installation Note

1.  Install the lips as shown in the figure.

2.  Install the water-cooled charge air cooler along the angle of the lip.

3.  Apply engine oil to the position shown in the figure.

4.  Temporarily tighten the bolt shown in the figure by hand.

5.  Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the figure.

6.  Tighten the bolts in the order shown in the figure.
