Purpose, Function

• The common rail stores high pressure fuel from the supply pump and distributes it to the fuel injectors.

Fuel pressure relief valve

• The fuel pressure relief valve discharges fuel and decreases fuel pressure to control the pressure in the common rail at the target value. For details on the fuel pressure relief valve, refer to the FUEL PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE. (See FUEL PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE [SKYACTIV-D 1.8].)
