FRONT DRIVE SHAFT INSPECTION

1.  Remove front under cover No.2. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Inspect the connections for any looseness.

•  If there is any malfunction, tighten or replace the applicable part. (See FRONT DRIVE SHAFT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [(E)].)

3.  Inspect the dust boot for cracks and damage.

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the applicable part. (See FRONT DRIVE SHAFT (TRIPOD JOINT) DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY [(E)].) (See FRONT DRIVE SHAFT (DOUBLE OFFSET JOINT) DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY [(E)].)

4.  Move the spline area and joint area up/down and left/right and inspect for excessive play.

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the applicable part. (See FRONT DRIVE SHAFT (TRIPOD JOINT) DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY [(E)].) (See FRONT DRIVE SHAFT (DOUBLE OFFSET JOINT) DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY [(E)].)
