CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [F66M-R]

Caution

•  Do not allow clutch fluid to get on a painted surface. Clutch fluid contains properties which can dissolve the paint. If clutch fluid gets on a painted surface, rinse with water immediately, then wipe the area dry.

1.  Remove the front under cover No.1. (See FRONT UNDER COVER No.1 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Disconnect clutch pipe No.2 from the damper and plug clutch pipe No.2 so that clutch fluid does not leak. (See CLUTCH PIPE AND HOSE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [F66M-R].)

3.  Remove the clutch release cylinder and damper as a single unit.

4.  Pull the clip shown in the figure and detach the damper.

5.  Remove the damper from the clutch release cylinder.

6.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

7.  Bleed the air from the clutch system. (See CLUTCH FLUID REPLACEMENT/AIR BLEEDING [F66M-R].)
