Front Emblem

Front center brand emblem

•  When replacing the front center brand emblem, refer to [RADIATOR GRILLE DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY]. (See RADIATOR GRILLE DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY [(E)].)

Rear Emblem

Caution

•  If the installation work for the emblem is performed without cleaning and degreasing the emblem installation surface, the emblem could fall off after installation. Before installing the emblem, clean and degrease the emblem and the emblem installation area.

1.  Degrease the adhesion area of the emblem.

2.  Warm the emblem installation area to between 15 °C {59 °F} and 40 °C {104 °F}using a heat gun.

3.  Install the emblem to the position shown in the figure.

4.  Press the emblem with a force of 49 N {5.0 kgf, 11 lbf} or more so that the clearance between the emblem and the adhesion area of the emblem is 1.1 mm {0.043 in} or less.

Rear center brand emblem

Side Emblem

100YEARS emblem

1.  Remove any grease or dirt from the emblem installation surface of the front fender.

2.  Warm the double-sided adhesive tape on the underside of the emblem to between 15 °C {59 °F} and 40 °C {104 °F}using a heat gun.

3.  Install the emblem to the position shown in the figure.

4.  Press the emblem with a force of 29.4 N {3.0 kgf, 6.61 lbf} or more.

SKYACTIV-X emblem

1.  Remove any grease or dirt from the emblem installation surface of the front fender.

2.  Warm the double-sided adhesive tape on the underside of the emblem to between 15 °C {59 °F} and 40 °C {104 °F}using a heat gun.

3.  Install the emblem to the position shown in the figure.
