DTC P0181:00

Fuel temperature sensor circuit range/performance malfunction

DETECTION CONDITION
•  The PCM monitors the input signal from the fuel temperature sensor. If the difference between the fuel temperature before engine warm-up and the fuel temperature after engine warm-up is less than 1 °C {1.8 °F}, the PCM determines that there is a malfunction in fuel temperature sensor.
Diagnostic support note
•  The MIL does not illuminate.
•  The DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  Fuel temperature sensor connector or terminal malfunction
•  Fuel temperature sensor malfunction
•  PCM connector or terminal malfunction
•  PCM malfunction
