DTC P2530

Ignition switch run position circuit malfunction

DETECTION CONDITION
•  The PCM monitors the input voltage from the ignition switch signal. If the voltages at PCM terminal 311 deviates from the threshold, the PCM determines that the there is a ignition switch circuit malfunction.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  Melt or burnt ENG fuse
•  Short to ground in the wiring harness between ignition switch terminal A and ENG fuse terminal A
•  PCM connector or terminal malfunction
•  Ignition switch connector or terminal malfunction
•  Open circuit in the wiring harness between ignition switch terminal A and ENG fuse terminal A
•  Open circuit in the wiring harness between ENG fuse terminal B and PCM terminal 311
•  Ignition switch malfunction
•  PCM malfunction
