STARTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [ZY, Z6]

Warning

• Remove and install all parts when the engine is cold, otherwise they can cause severe burns or serious injury.

• When the battery cables are connected, touching the vehicle body with starter terminal B will generate sparks. This can cause personal injury, fire, and damage to the electrical components. Always disconnect the negative battery cable before performing the following operation.

1. Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [ZY, Z6].)

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

3. Remove the aerodynamic under cover No.2. (See AERODYNAMIC UNDER COVER NO.2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

MTX, ATX

1. Install the starter using bolt holes A and C of the starter and transaxle housing.

1. Install the starter using both holes B and C of the starter and transaxle housing.
